FREMONT, CALIF.—April 20, 2010— Customers using first-generation Intel Atom processors will be pleased to hear that American Portwell Technology, Inc., (http://www.portwell.com) has released a new 3.5˝ compact embedded system board that includes all of the performance enhancing advanced features gained from Intel second-generation single core and dual core Atom processors. The new compact (5.75˝ x 4.00˝ or 146mm x 105mm) PEB-2780VG2A embedded system board is perfect for a whole range of applications such as medical devices, industrial automation and handheld gaming, home entertainment, network devices, high-end vending machines and in-vehicle infotainment, and non-security-based applications such as VPN, network monitoring and gateway. Based on Intel Atom N450 (single core) and D510 (dual core) processor with Intel 82801HM I/O controller, the PEB-2780VG2A supports DDR2 667 non-ECC system memory up to 2GB, dual display via VGA and LVDS, dual Gigabit Ethernet, onboard 12V DC input, two SATA interfaces, one 44-pin IDE connector, Type II Compact Flash socket, six USB ports, four serial ports and GPIO. Expansion capabilities include a connector with PCI-E x1 signal for a daughter board.
