COM Express is a computer-on-module specification defined by PICMG, including COM Express Type 7, which is based on a widely used COM Express Type 6 pinout. COM Express Type 7 modules are ideal for a large range of communication type applications because it strips audio and video signals of type 6, in exchange for the rich I/O capabilities including 32 lanes of PCIe and four 10Gb Ethernet, as well as the support for low power applications, or high computing capabilities.
