The CAR-6040 2U network appliance is a high-performance networking and cybersecurity solution featuring 5th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors (formerly Emerald Rapids) with up to 64 cores. It supports over 64 Ethernet ports using Portwell’s proprietary network interface cards, making it ideal for various applications, including network management and protection. The CAR-6040 excels in Unified Threat Management (UTM) and Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) applications, with enhancements like Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and advanced security algorithms. Additionally, empowered by the 5th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processors, which offer increased core count, larger cache, and faster DDR5 memory speeds, the CAR-6040 elevates AI and machine learning tasks. The device supports up to eight Portwell proprietary network modules, additional network connections via PCIe 5.0, and includes robust internal storage options and redundant power supplies for continuous operation.
